Last night the band had to perform pregame at the G-dale vs. Parkview football game. It went well, and as soon as we left at halftime, the game picked up and we finally won by one point. I love watching football, but our offense is awful.
After we left the game, I went with a big group of my friends to change into our homecoming apparel at Peggy's house, then went to Little Tokyo's. The dance was pretty amazing; they actually played some slow music. My wonderful date danced... well, wonderfully. Neither of us like the majority of the music that was played, but complaining meant yelling over that music, and our voices were already shot from the game.
Today, the band performs at the Ozarko competition at MSU. It is supposed to be around forty degrees the whole day... Yeesh. As long as it isn't windy, I'll be fine. At our last competition, I threw a double and the wind picked up and landed my flag across Sammy's trombone. I love performing, though, because I'm only nervous for about two minutes. Last night's performance wasn't so bad because there were about twenty people in the audience. I guess it helps when I don't feel like everyone can judge how "easy" color guard is.
